Privacy notice
This notice explains what personal information Oxenfurt Academy collects when you use this website, and what we do with it.
Who we are
Oxenfurt Academy, trading as Oxenfurt University, is the controller of personal information collected through this website. Our Data Protection Officer is Joanne Brierley, who can be contacted at data.protection@oxenfurt.uk or at The Old Schools, Bellhouse Lane, Oxenfurt OF1 3DH.
What we collect
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind, and does not set cookies. Our hosting provider keeps a record of requests to the website, including the address of the computer making the request, for up to 30 days, to keep the service secure and working. We do not use that record to identify visitors.
If you write to us at an address on this website, we use what you send to answer you, and keep it as long as we need to for that purpose and as our records policy requires.
Our legal basis
We process this information because it is necessary for the performance of our public tasks of teaching and research, and in our legitimate interests in running a secure website, under UK data protection law.
Other privacy notices
Separate notices cover applicants, students, staff, alumni, research participants, and people whose information is processed by Security Services, including by GOLEM. They are available from the Data Protection Officer.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict our use of it, and to ask for it to be transferred. Write to the Data Protection Officer. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to your data protection authority.
