Accessibility statement
We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website, and we test it against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA.
What you should be able to do
- Zoom in up to 400% without text running off the screen.
- Navigate the whole website with a keyboard, and see where you are on the page.
- Use the website with a screen reader. Every drawing has a text description.
- Read everything without JavaScript, except the site search and members’ services.
Known problems
- Some PDF documents published before 2022 are not fully accessible. We will provide any of them in another format on request.
- The Committee Papers Service, used by members of University committees, has not yet been tested with screen readers. Members who need papers in another format should ask their committee’s Secretary.
- Maps are described in text, but the descriptions do not give every street name.
Telling us about a problem
If you find a problem that is not listed here, or need information in a different format, write to web@oxenfurt.uk. We will reply within ten working days.
Enforcement
The University is required by the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 to make its website accessible. If you are not happy with how we respond to your complaint, you may contact the body responsible for enforcing those regulations.
How we tested this website
The website was last tested in September 2026 by the web team, with automated checks on every page at desktop and phone widths and manual checks with a keyboard and a screen reader on a sample of pages.
